A creative workshop like no other, the PROP STYLING EXPERIENCE is for not only aspiring stylists, but experienced stylists
seeking a portfolio update, photographers, chefs, brands and social media strategists too.

Spend two days learning, styling and shooting. This one-on-one prop styling intensive is designed specifically for you and based on your interests, goals and your level of expertise. By having an initial conversation and filling out a detailed questionnaire, I design a custom program that suits your needs. I will research your website photography, your brand and your social media presence to determine what skills you need support with. Weekday and weekend dates are available. All sessions include: A photo shoot, a journal, a styling resource guide, styling kit guide, materials*, a portfolio review (if applicable), lunch and a half hour phone follow-up call. *Some conditions apply. Contact me for more information and questions prior to registering.

There are currently 3 options available for THE PROP STYLING EXPERIENCE:

• SQUARE ONE: For beginner stylists or photographers entering the field seeking to learn the basics of the photo shoot environment in the areas of creative, technique, planning and logistics. We'll start the day looking at inspiration and stylistic elements that contribute to great images. You'll then decide on a direction and theme for your shoot, choose items from my vast prop and supply collection and let the creative ideas flow. By the time you leave you'll be ready to take on the world and plan your next shoot.

• LEVEL TWO & WEBSITE REBOOT: For experienced stylists and photographers or makers of products looking to switch gears or expand their reach into new areas. Together we focus on your accomplishments and where you want to go with your career. We'll map out a strategy for change and plan out your new web portfolio. This is especially good for wedding stylists looking to enter the commercial space and makers in need of new website imagery of their products.

• CORPORATE/BUSINESS: For those sent by their company to learn styling techniques to enhance their performance at work in a specific commercial niche. This is especially good for those in publishing, social media and branding. Two from one company may attend together.

"For those serious about a career in styling, The Prop Styling Experience gives an honest look into the ins and outs of this behind-the-scenes profession. Robin is an engaging mentor who uses her intense passion for styling to encourage her students and fuel their fires. Having been in the industry a few years Robin gave me the tools and confidence I needed to transition from styling weddings into freelancing as a commercial stylist. It was an invaluable experience to spend some time with her in an open, collaborative environment and to get a glimpse into her process, techniques and work habits. Never have I felt as supported and encouraged as I was during this workshop. I came away feeling validated, revitalized and purposeful with a list of action steps to put me on a path towards working commercially."—Janelle Gonyea Graves, re:find Joy, Chicago

As an artist and Etsy shop owner, I wanted to improve my skills in presenting my products in a way that told a story to engage on social media. "Robin is such a terrific storyteller. I love the way she manages to bring out hidden stories from each and every object, and how she knows just how to arrange them to create layers of fantasy. I appreciate the priceless knowledge she shared with us and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to spend so much quality time with an artist of her caliber. She made me realize that when it comes to telling visual stories, you can break all the rules and wind up somewhere between the sublime and the subversive."—Driely, Photographer,, NYC

"Robin invited us into her studio of styling treasures for an intensive, hands-on class that was customized just for us. The day was invaluable and inspiring. With a background as an Art Director, Robin brings a practicality mixed with creativity to her craft. She shared her trade secrets of all the magic behind the making of food shoots. We got hands-on training as we put her insight into practice and got to style our own shots. We could pick from anything in her collection of props that are as delicious as the food we were shooting. Not only do I recommend Robin's class, I recommend working with her as a prop stylist too!"—Helen, Co-founder & CEO, Sociality Squared, NYC

"Robin's prop styling class was incredibly constructive and inspiring. She encouraged my creative vision and provided a structured environment which helped me follow through and execute my photo shoot concept. I feel like I have found a true mentor"—Samantha, Stylist, NYC
